Roche Urisys Issues

Was anyone else using the Roche Urisys and affected by the false negative issue?  Has anyone heard an update from Roche on what they are doing to fix this issue?

yes- we had several of these instruments in use here. I removed them from service. We have not had staff complete visually read urine dipstick competency for many years so we were unable to implement that suggested change. This represents a step backwards for me so we made the decision to switch to Siemens Clinitek readers and multisticks.

I did speak to Roche Technical Support on this and they were unable to provide information as to when they actually discovered this problem or when they expect resolution. Disappointing

Ditto here too.  We are doing visual reads after color vision screening.  We will are looking for options and like the Siemens Clinitek machine.
