I don't love this standard. The very nature of POC testing doesn't correlate with "The laboratory performs and records corrective action....". For the instruments that do not have the capability for the end user to add a comment (i-STAT, Sig Elite, ACT Plus, Avox, etc.) how are you all meeting this standard? What if the instrument has lockout? Are you adding notes when you review, or do you have a manual log in...

Provider Waived Testing Competencies
We are looking at incorporating provider occult blood competencies into our medical staff credentialing and privileging process. If you have this in place at your facility, do you have a policy and/or form you would be willing to share? Any issues with the process? Thanks in advance!
