Vaginal Wet Prep swab. Dacron vs cotton
: "I am going through some of our older procedures. Our vaginal Wet Prep procedure requires the use of Dacron swab only. I know cotton can absorb too much, or leave fibers and Dacron is best for other specimen collections like herpes. Is there another reason out there that providers could not use cotton swabs for vag wet prep testing?
