Non-waived testing Competency Assessors

For those sites who have qualified (4 yr degree, 2yrs experience) nurses performing non-waived competency assessments on the nursing units, do you have a special training program they go through before they are allowed to assess? Do you have a special/different competency checklist for these folks?
