Said: This was my initial thought, as well. But do you still feel that it isn't required when you look at COM.40300? This makes me think that it is required for everything implemented aft 2009, at least once. Am I overthinking?

Said: It is not a CAP requirement for clot based methods per POC.08500 so I don't perform verification.

ACT Reportable Range Verification
Good Morning,
I am looking for information on how everyone is completing Reportable Range Verification for ACT testing. Are you performing Heparin Linearity testing? What kit are you using? Are you doing something else? Any information on what you have found works best would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You!!

pH Testing for Gastric Secretions
Hi, I am creating a procedure for our vWR pH strips for Gastric Secretions.
This strip utilizes 3 buffer solutions as controls and we're wanting to have the nurses perform the 3 controls. However a nurse educator is just wanting to perform only 1 control for competency stating it would impact overall certification rates though I don't quite understand how this is so.
What has anyone been doing with their gastric pH strips?
Thank you so much.
