POC PT/INR finger stick
Hello!
Does anyone use the CoaguChek system or iSTAT for PT/INR for inpatients to monitor Warfarin therapy? Specifically patients with central lines? I had a question from the hospital Medical Director regarding using finger stick samples for PT/INR to monitor Warfarin therapy instead of doing it via the central line.
Does anyone have any thoughts on this?
We currently use the CoaguChek in our Anti-Coagulation Clinic and have iSTATs (but don't use the PT cartridge).

Blood gas syringe back order - pediatrics/NICU
Hi everyone, just checking in on any creative solutions for the blood gas syringe back order for pediatrics and NICU. We were using the ICU medical 1 mL syringes, but they seem to still be on back order. We frequently need to pull from an arterial line in the NICU and the LineDraw 1ml syringes have been working so well with 0.3 mLs. We haven't been able to draw that small of a volume with any of the alternative syringes. Any great solutions out there?
