Said: Thank you! Unfortunately, the IFU you attached is for the qualitative test. I am looking for the quantitative test that results the viral load "HCV VL".

Is Cepheid GeneXpert HCV VL test CLIA waived?
Hello!
I am having a hard time finding documented evidence of the CLIA test complexity for the hepatitis C viral load test offered by Cephied. I called them and they stated it was waived. However, when I search the FDA database the only information I can find is about the regular HCV qualitative test. Does anyone have an IFU or decision summary document stating the CLIA test complexity? Attached is the IFU I found online.

Synovasure® Alpha Defensin Lateral Flow Test
Hello! Our ortho dept is interested in performing these as Point of Care. Is anyone doing them as POC that can share their experience? Or are you performing them in the main lab as a better option? It would likely be low volume, so we are wondering if the expense/requirements would outweigh the convenience. Thanks!

Said: Jo, I am the only one teaching. The nurse educators do not necessarily want to add more to their plate so that leaves me where I am today!
