I want to share and issue that I had with the RALS upgrade to version 8.5.3 to the GEM Hemochron 100. We use RALS as our middleware and for this upgrade I needed to be able to run a test patient so I could follow it through the entire process (GEM 100, RALS and EPIC). The GEM 100 could not recognize the test patients that I had. This was due to some ADT mapping. The fix is to go into RALS test environment-go to device configuration -select GEM 100 (that has your desired location) mine was SRH GEM 100-go to settings-look for Patient ID options-go to filter ID by and change location to institution. You all may have known this but if not, I hope it helps.
