Can anyone recommend a whole blood waived MONO test approved for use on patients less than 18 years of age?

We use the Icon Mono kit by Beckman Coulter/Hemocue.

We use Cardinal Health Rapid Mono II.

A few years ago I did a comparison of the most common Mono tests.  The information may be outdated but may still be relevant.  I've attached the file here.Attachment. Mono Kit Comparisons.xlsx

Neat chart Melissa!

Only 2 of our Pedi primary clinics want to perform mono; they both are using OSOM brand. None of our Pedi urgent care clinics want to perform mono.

Thanks Peggy!

We received a request from a family medicine clinic, but they eventually decided against it.  I remember that I liked the Alere and Quidel cassette tests because they did not require a capillary tube with a rubber stopper to collect the sample.  Also, the Quidel product allowed you to place the sample directly on the cassette.  Fewer steps is always a plus with my users.
