I just did an audit of the education documents we have on file for moderately complex testing. I've had a pretty solid system in place with HR for the last 2 years and the documents we have on newer operators look pretty good.
It's the ones prior to me that I'm concerned about. There are many that have a Bachelor's of Science or Associates of Science diploma submitted but the diploma does not list the area of study. Do you all accept something like that? That B.S. could be in something that's not a science.
I'm not sure if I'm going to have to have PSVs pulled on all these to prove that it's a BS in a chemical, physical or biological science.

CFR 493 (CLIA) does not require a BS for moderate complexity testing. Part 1423 indicates that a HS diploma with proper training documentation (which is outlined in detail in that section) is sufficient.
