We are looking to update our NICU analyzers and am looking for some suggestions. Currently we are using the ABL 800, but this does require a LOT of maintenance and blood. What does everyone else use and what are your opinions? We would like to have tBIL and Crea still if possible.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Prime Plus also has co-oximetry which is required in our NICU and iMg too.
Other sites use the GEM5000. Equally small specimen and easy to maintain. They also can do nBILI, blood gas, and metabolites.
Neither of those does creatinine. The only device I know that does creatinine along with blood gas is the Werfen ChemSTAT. However, they do not do nBILI.
Does anyone know if the white CG4+ iSTAT cartridges are FDA approved for use with capillary samples? We have iSTATs in our NICU and are using the blue CG4+ cartridges, which are not FDA approved for use with capillary samples. I do not see the CG4+ white cartridges listed on the FDA/CLIA site. Any insight would be helpful. Thank you!
Another question, if I may. Did you develop specific reference ranges for capillary samples???
