AVOX 1000E QUESTIONS

My cath lab all of a sudden wants to have 2 AVOXs next to each other. Has anyone had success interfacing 2 meters through 1 lantronix box? I've heard it's tricky but I thought I'd try before buying another box.

Pediatric systems and AVOX site labeling - the AVOX does not have sites in the meter like Fontan, Glenn, BT shunt that are sampled in hypoplastic left heart patients. Our team has been labeling these sites as the closest option for years. Now they would like to see if we can get these sites labeled and documented in the chart correctly. No changes can be made in the meter. It looks like we can do a translation in Telcor. For example, they could label a Fontan sample in the meter as "tricuspid" (which they never use) and then Telcor would translate tricuspid to Fontan before releasing to the LIS. I'm curious to know how anyone else has addressed this?

Hi Danyel,
I use one lantronix box for 2 AVOXimeters.  We round each morning before the staff from the Cath Lab arrive and transmit each AVOXimeter.  We then check QML to make sure all the results have come in.  We then clear the AVOXimeter of those results.  The AVOXimeters are moved from room to room so that's why each AVOX is transmitted the next morning.  I do have an AVOXimeter in our OP Cath lab that stays connected to the lantronix box all the time so the results come across immediately.
Hope this helps!
