Happy Friday!
Can you tell me what you use for your pediatric reference ranges?  We are reviewing ours, and wanted to see what the general range used in other Pedi hosp.

As always, thanks in advance :)

Hi Adonica,
Our low is <40 mg/dL and high is >250 for NICU and >400 housewide, which includes PICU.
Hope this helps!

Hi Adonica - Happy Friday. Our pediatric critical range is 50 - 400.

Here are our normal ranges, followed by Critical Values for POC glucose testing

> 30 days-2 years              60-110 mg/dL
> 2 Years-Adult                  70-120 mg/dL

      Patient Age                    Critical Values
< 1 day-30 days              < 25 or > 200 mg/dL
 > 30 days-2 years         < 40 or > 300 mg/dL

Baby   < 1 year old         <30 and >300

Interested to see all the info you collect Adonica! Maybe it's time to revisit our long standing ranges.

Our glucose ranges are:
0-1 day  40-105
1-7 days 53-107
> 7 days 70-100

Critical ranges:
Pediatric (<18 yrs): <40 or >300
Adult:  <40 or >400

Sure would be nice to have a standardized range somewhere!
