Sysmex at POC for PUBS procedure in Labor & Birth for IUT

Hello:
Is anyone else out there in the POC world maintaining a Sysmex (or equivalent) for the purpose of obtaining H/H, MCV, plt count for PUBS (percutaneous umbilical blood sampling)/IUT (Intrauterine Transfusion)? Here at Yale we do this and I am looking to see if other centers offering this high-risk procedure are doing something similar or if they are utilizing another system. We are currently evaluating the HemoScreen system, which is very cool; cartridge based CBC in 3-5 minutes. A bit slower than the Sysmex XP-300, but with much more palatable QC requirements and cartridge-based! Any and all input on how other centers do this is welcome!

We are only a clinic so we don't perform that testing here. However, I noticed that Sysmex now has a waived instrument that does a CBC in 3 minutes. It is the XW-100
We don't use a Sysmex for our PUBS cases, we just use the HemoCue. We implemented the HemoScreen for use in our urgent care sites last October after having used the Sysmex pocHi-100 previously. The HemoScreen is so much easier to use and the maintenance is almost nonexistent in comparison. The only issues I've seen so far occur when the power isn't cycled for over a month and the QC can be a little tricky. Other advantages of the HemoScreen are operator lockout and QC lockout.
Thank you Kristie. I appreciate you responding!!
We only do a microhematocrit for our IUT. We use a Statspin.
Thank you, Diana! I appreciate you responding!
