Waived testing auto recertification

For waived testing, such as fingerstick glucose, does anyone use the auto recertification function in RALS? If so, what paramaters do you use to auto recertify?
Currently we have it set up to recertify if they successfully perform both levels of QC and at least one patient test in the last 12 months.
Does anyone just recertify with just successful QC performance?

We use the auto recertification in RALS for our glucometers and have it set up to recertify with just 1 high and 1 low QC performed successfully in the last 12 months. In addition to this we have annual education that is assigned through our online learning management system (HealthStream) which includes policy review, an educational video on cleaning the meter, and a test. This helps to meet our TJC requirements for competency for waived testing.
We use the auto recertification in RALS, too. Successful performance of QC within the last 120 days and the exam in eQuiz (testing application that's an add-on item in RALS). It's a fairly seamless process. Currently, have to meet TJC guidelines also - 2 of the 6 elements of CLIA/CAP competency requirements.
Does this mean they prefer an online quiz vs a paper quiz (with or without the electronic quiz being tied to the middleware)?
Since we have not so far acquired eQuiz, and we use the hospital-wide online compliance platform for POC quizes, we don't use auto-recert in clinics because our TJC accredited WT program requires operators to (1) pass the quiz plus (2) either pass QC or perform a patient test under observation.
Thanks a bunch.
