Hematocrit validation on ABL90

Hi everyone
I'm currently trying to get hematocrit validated on my facility's ABL90s. We have 8 ABL90s distributed throughout the two hospitals that my lab services. Has anyone already done this process and have any advice. I'm a relatively new POCC and I'm having trouble deciding what specimen type would need to be used, as well as what main lab instrument the Hct would be compared to. Should I just use the gold standard of a spun crit? Would I need to do a linear comparison to a main lab analyzer if I used the spun crit?
We use API for our proficiency testing, and receive Hct samples that just go unused, so we're all set as far as PT is concerned.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks

Most accreditors only expect validation of measured parameters. As Hct on an ABL90 is a calculated value, there would not be an expectation for a 1:1 validation. There would be for the tHb from which it is calculated from, however.
We correlate our ABLs with the Sysmex in hematology.
