POCT Technical Specialist - Vanderbilt

We're looking for a POCT Technical Specialist to join our program at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee. This person will use their point-of-care knowledge to help with advanced technical issues and institutional projects. They will serve as a technical expert amongst the group, leading and delegating technologists through changes that improve quality and workflow. We're looking for a self-reliant problem solver who gets the bigger picture of POCT, can run large projects with minimal direction, and can adapt and flex quickly to changes and challenges within a large academic medical center system environment.
 
The ideal candidate must be board certified as a medical laboratory scientist, qualify as a CLIA technical consultant, and have at least 3 years of POCT-specific experience. State of Tennessee MLS license is required for the position, although it can be obtained after hire within a specified window. Vanderbilt Medical Laboratories is looking for motivated individuals that fit into our transformative culture, so attitude and fit are a high priority.
