Abbott FreeStyle Precision Pro Cleaning and Disinfecting

Does anyone mind sharing your policy for cleaning and disinfecting your FSPP meters?
The manufacturer says to use the Dispatch (0.65%) bleach wipes. We previously had the PXP meters and always used the Super Sani Cloth wipes. Do your operators find it difficult to wait 4 minutes between patient testing for the kill time?
Do you have issues with the operators using these wipes on other devices that should not have bleach used on them?
Any input is appreciated!

We started using FSSP meters this May.  Prior to use I saw this as an issue - the operator's manual was specific "use Clorox Dispatch 0.65%" - since COVID I am reluctant to name a single brand of anything as the only.  Abbott sent me on company letterhead a letter that they would honor warranty of meters if used an alternate wipe. We were using mostly Clorox brand peroxide at the time. But hospital was looking for a different wipe due to the Peroxide breaking down surfaces of chairs, mattresses etc. So right at go live we switched to Dispatch. Plenty of issues since then - multiple staff filing work injury for allergic reaction and worse breakdown of surfaces.  These wipes are very strong and leave a surface film.  From the beginning I included other wipes in SOP and training - stating clean and disinfect with Clorox Dispatch or other hospital infection control approved disinfection wipes. Hospital inspection with TJC - they looked very close at the manufacturer cleaning and asked many questions of staff, expecting staff to say used Clorox Dispatch. I had to forward the letter from Abbott and since we were mostly using Clorox Dispatch at the time - no findings but i felt like serious scrutiny about not following manuf guidelines.  The issue is still under investigation.

Patsy, thank you for the feedback! Our hospital uses the 0.63% bleach wipes for all other cleaning, but I think materials management wants to move to the 0.65% just because of us and our glucometers. I wish Abbott would be a little more lenient. 0.65% is very specific.....
We had been using the Super Sani Cloth for quite a while since moving to the FSPP because we didn't realize it had changed until a hospital inspection we had recently. I don't get why Abbott also says the kill time is 1 minute, but I think the wipes say 4 minutes.

Thank you!
If the manufacturer guidelines say to use the 0.65% dispatch bleach wipes, how are you getting around that?

We brought up that concern to our Infection Control department and for now they decided to advise staff to use the Super Santi-clothes primarily. Bleach based santi-clothes are not allowed on the floors in many areas in our facility per IC dept. They actually regulate with Logistics dept as to what floors receive different santi-clothes
