POC.08980 Calibration of blood gas instruments - verifying the reliability

We're using the Nova Prime Plus blood gas analyzers, which have an onboard calibrator. In the reg it says "Some instruments have built in calibration that is performed automatically by the instrument". Confirmed, that's what the Prime Plus does.
Then, "however, there must be some defined procedure for verifying the reliability of this process". Can anyone share how they are achieving this? If the calibration fails, the analyzer won't run.

I would say that confirmation of the reliability of the calibration is running controls regularly.
