TEG6s Interface

Hello - we currently have a TEG6s but it is not interfaced therefore...patient reports don't always make it to the chart. We have one unit that is housed in the OR to be run by perfusion during heart cases or RN during a Trauma. We use EPIC/Telcor.
Those of you with this device - do you have it interfaced or not? If it is not interfaced, who puts in the results? How does the ordering look? If it is interfaced, how big of a project/time commitment was it?
Thank you!

The tests upload reliably, it works well. This is a significant improvement in having the staff on the floor print the result and place it in the chart which was very "hit or miss". We routinely did audits and found missing tests.
The work to get it successfully interfaced wasn't that difficult.
We are currently working on a project to place the TEGs on a cart with a UPS and a wireless bridge to allow them to move the TEG from CVOR to CVOR. as needed.
We have two additional analyzers in Blood Bank that serve the rest of the hospital and are operated by Blood Bank trained associates. The BB analyzers are interfaced to EPIC (SoftBank). Those two analyzers do fall into Telcor but were "disabled" so they show up on our Result Exception que and we move them to result repository.
We went live with the TEG 6S with TEG Manager and it's been great. Interfacing these instruments wasn't difficult. It would be hard to quantify the time commitment for the Interfacing since it was wrapped up in our instrument go-live also. I found Haemonetics to be very instrumental in keeping our project on track, so I think if you have the support from your EPIC/IT team, it should move pretty quickly. I think the issue we run into the most is having all the appropriate Job Profiles provided access to TEG Manager in order to view results in real time, but that's easily resolved with our IT department.
I'd be happy to share any additional information if you need.
Prior to the interface, the strip was taped to a form and given to medical records to upload to the chart.
