The barcode readers come with instructions to program them for truncation. If you program the barcode scanner to truncate the first two letters (AC), then only the 10 digit CSN will be recognized.

Medtronic HMS+ interface to EPIC
We are currently in the process transitioning to EPIC from Soft.
While validating, we have discovered that the EPIC patient barcode has AC in the front of the patient numerical CSN# ID on the armband barcode. This makes the patient ID 13 digits.
When scanned, the HMS+ is cutting off the last digit of the patient ID and therefore results won't interface.
Did anyone else experience this issue with the HMS+ interface to EPIC?
The HMS+ runs through RALS.&...
