Monthly QC for CLIA Waived Tests Kits
Hello Everyone,
For Point of Care test kits that are CLIA Waived, our policy has always been to run external controls on every new lot, every shipment of the same lot, and monthly. We are CAP accredited. In the instructions for use (IFU) package insert most of our kits do not state that monthly quality control is required. Have you removed the monthly quality control requirement from your policy? or do you still choose to perform monthly QC?
