AMR verification of hemoglobin derivatives
We use the GEM 5000 blood gas analyzer which reports tHb, O2Hb, COHb, MetHb, HHB, and sO2. In the operator's manual, all analytes are listed as measured, not calculated. Historically we have only performed semi-annual AMR verification on the tHb with the justification being that the other analytes are just derivatives of this value. I'm wondering what others do.

This all sounds terrible to me for many reasons, but the Endocrine group is claiming we are way behind the times ...

Said: Is the GEM Web software able to send the ADT transactions to the device? We have the instruments directly connected to RALS, so there is no positive patient ID for my facility.
