Direct observation for non-waived testing

Looking for what others are doing to meet the direct observation piece for non-waived competencies. Our facility utilizes various non-waived testing platforms throughout RT, OR, CATH, etc. Somehow I missed the change from nursing no longer qualifying as TC to be able to perform the direct observation on competencies. CAL/VER on sampling of iSTATs or all?

Should we be doing a sampling of our iSTATs when running cal/ver? Or doing them on all meters?

e-LBB Errors on Brand New Accu-Chek Inform II Meters

Is anyone else noticing an uptick in e-LBB errors in new Accu-Chek Inform II meters? I had a meter brought to me today for an e-LBB error that wouldn't clear. I just put the meter into service last Thursday. Thanks in advance :)
