Said: Same here. I see so many other short-cuts that I never even considered having that setting checked!
Said: Yes through DE Customization turn test select on but combination have to be set-up in interface. 
Said: One can utilize the Customization Workspace/Analyte Enable tab on the DE server to select the cartridge type and enable/disable the specific analytes. It might not solve all your needs, but it is an option.
Said: Same as other responses, No, they scan every time.
Said: Our staff must scan every time, for the exact reason you and Kari stated.  We have 80 meters and 1,000-ish staff.
