Hi POC community, I am reaching out to see what the glucometer delegations and workflows looks like in other hospitals' operating rooms.
In ours, our anesthesia providers take on the bulk of patient testing on the glucometers. They rely on techs to deliver the glucometers to their operator room and then they perform the testing. This includes CRNAs and MDs. I'm curious if POC testing (not just glucometers, but blood gas and ACT as well) are commonly performed by anesthesia providers or by the nurses in different hospital ORs.
