Hi all,
Our perfusionists use the HMS+ from Medtronic and have the following Hepcon cartridges: Blue, Tan and Red. They all have their own range (ie, Red is 0.0.9, Tan is 1.5 to 3.0, and Blue is 2.5-4.0). The cartridge ranges are always the same regardless of new lot/shipment. Because of this, we don't have a meaningful way of conducting a reagent comparison between lots.
For the HPT QC, is anyone using an additional acceptability criteria, besides what is listed in the insert? The insert states that it needs to be <249 seconds and detected in the correct channel. If you are using additional criteria, how do you evaluate and review a month's worth of QC? Do you treat it as qualitative?
Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thank you,
Heather
