I wonder if your facility runs both the LR and Plus cuvettes on the hemochron Elites and if so are they reported out in the LIS and HIS as seperate tests? We use RALS, Sunquest and EPIC for our POC results.
thanks

We run both cuvettes. Only CVOR runs the plus for open hearts. We have them report out as ACT and ACT Perfusion. They have different ranges. We have Rals, Sunquest and SCM. Contact me if you have any questions.

As the two methods do not report out equivalent results - you would definitely need to identify as different tests in your LIS.
We run ACT+ and ACT-LR. We have 2 separate tests in our LIS. One is ACT and the other ACT-Low Range to support the 2 different normal ranges. We use Telcor, Beaker, EPIC.

We also run both the LR and the Plus and have separate test codes for each. I have a separate question that I wonder if I can tag on to this one? How do you handle answering the CAP POC.08300 question with both the LR and Plus when the Elite has no cal/ver or linearity option? We currently do a split sample but that gets hard with so many analyzers. TIA!
