iSTAT CHEM 8+ in the ER

We are going live in the ER with CHEM 8+. In our facility we already are doing CG8 and ACT in OR. We run AQI for proficiency testing for the CG8. What proficiency testing is everyone using for all testing to be considered CLIA compliant? All cartridge testing needs to be done on different surveys so that there is no comparing of results.....

If you perform the Chem 8+ on venous blood, it waived and does not require a proficiency test. When we did troponin I on the iSTAT we used API for proficiency. That is what we use for all our other lab PT.
Must also use only LiHep vacutainer tubes to maintain waived status on Chem8.
