Good evening fellow Cooridnators,
Does anyone out there currently use the leadcare II for POCT in their pediatric clinics? If so, would you mind sharing your opinions on the ease of use, accuracy and overall hapiness with the device?

We do not use these as point of care but a couple of our satellite labs use them. I am told that that they are easy to use. Proper collection is important (as always). Also, this analyzer is strictly for capillary sample use.
We have been using this device in one of our pediatric clinics for the past year. We also have implemented this device in three other peds clinics recently. We have had a few issues with contamination that required some troubleshooting with Magellan. The biggest challenge that we have encountered is the state based reporting requirements, as this device does not have any connectivity options.

I consulted the nurses who have been using the LeadCare II for years. They like the test, and have no negative comments. Keep in mind that they have nothing to compare it with.
