Clinitek Status + interface to Telcor

I’d like to talk to someone who has added on a unidirectional Clinitek status plus interface to Telcor , LIS and onto Epic. I’m wondering what the impact will be to our outpatient practices when the interface goes live. Are there any
gotcha’s I should be aware of. Please email or call if you have any advice to share. Thanks.

Glad you reached out. Our clinic was going to do this but our EPIC team says this has to be approved first. My question to you...can EPIC print out barcode labels and how much is EPIC charging you to add this to your system.
Thanks,
Julie Brim
I don't have the barcode piece figured out yet but yes they can be printed from Epic. The cost is on the Telcor and LIS side. It was planned as a capital budget item.
We have the Clinitek interfaced with results going to telcor, then our LIS and then into EPIC. The transmission is based on the ADT feed so you will need a barcode with the patient financial number to scan.
I am implementing our Clinitek status + interface currently. Did you add any programming to account for highly pigmented urines? For example, if a specimen is Orange to not file the Ketone result?
