For those using Coulter hematology, what anticoagulant type (K2EDTA or K3EDTA) do you configure your iSTAT for?

We were told by Coulter to use K3.
That's interesting - I thought it depends on the type EDTA tubes you use on your Coulter. We use K2 EDTA tubes, so I just assumed that was what to use. Did they say K3 in spite of the tubes you use?

Looks like what Abbott suggests is you can use whatever customization, K2 or K3, that gives you the best correlation with your primary method.
From the Technical Bulletin: "While samples for the iSTAT System are collected in lithium heparin, results may be reported in terms of either K3EDTA or K2EDTA calibration. Agreement between methods is achieved by selecting the appropriate customization setting on the i-STAT system."
