Is anyone using the RightSpot pH indicator for NGT? We are looking into this device and I would like to know what your experience is.

Thanks!

I would also like to know, we use copious amounts of pH paper :)

We are just beginning to explore this as a system; but unfortunately no information to share at this time.

I’ve been researching the product as well. I have the brochures and contacted two facilities that use it so far.

Cost for my facility would be $5-7 per kit and I have to watch budget and spending. So I’ve been having a hard time getting sign off on doing an evaluation

I would love to hear opinions on this product, as well.

Our hospital is looking to move to pH as confirmation of NG/OG placement. I also would be very interested in any feedback anyone has on this test.

Is this considered a POCT test?

Yes.  The sample is gastric fluid that is collected into the pH monitor.  This is used for NG tube placement.
