To monitor the amount of citrate being used for this procedure, providers need to monitor ionized calcium in the patient and machine being used. I would like to know if anyone is performing ionized calcium's on CRRT patients.

Yes, we use i-STAT for CRRT, they have a comment code that translates to whether the test was from the patient or the pump, but in the next week or so I will have Statnotes implemented and they will be able to select CRRT Pump from their Site list.
Hi Silka,
Thanks so much for responding to my question. I believe I'm on the right track with comment codes but am not sure until we run a fake patient.
Question:
Can you tell me what your comment code(s) looks like?
It sounds like Statnotes from Abbot is a new thing. Does it take much to implement and is that a feature we would have to pay for?
Thanks,
Pam
