For those that have been inspected by CAP this year, what are the CAP inspectors focusing on for POCT? What areas are an emphasis to CAP? We are about to enter into our CAP window.

Room temperature monitoring for any area that point of care testing is done.
Meeting the six elements of Competency Assessment for non-waived testing. Including Provider Performed Microscopy.
Employee competency and credentials of associates performing moderately complex testing is looked at more thoroughly than before
POCT staff competencies and diplomas.
Staff competencies, emphasis on 6 month competency for Moderately Complex.
Cleaning and decontamination for glucose meters.

I was inspected last year and they focused a lot on staff competency and diplomas, IQCP, review of QC monthly, and proficiency testing rotation among staff.
Does Cap inspectors might also focus validation studies of new instrument istat? Note: currently istat is not onboard yet.
