Hi,

I wanted to ask what interface systems you all are using for POC instruments. We currently use Telcor and are looking at other options.

Thanks!

Jake,

Can I ask why you are looking to change systems?  We currently have RALS but our IT has set up a Telcor demonstration this afternoon.  Thanks

We are looking to move to UniPOC this year or next as part of a system wide upgrade. Does anyone know anything about UniPOC?

Jake,

We currently are using RALS. Why are you looking at other options? What are the negatives about Telcor? We are interested in this interface.

We use Telcor and enjoy the service that they provide.  Good customer service and fast to correct issues or to answer questions.

Telcor has great customer service, very fast to reply to issues. Never had a problem with them.

We use Telcor QML. Great customer service and help in troubleshooting is prompt. I have had excellent experience with their project teams and project implementations.

We are also looking into interface options.  We currently use Cobas IT1000.  This program is not efficient for our purposes.  We used Rals in the past which is a great product, but our facility was not interested in the cost increase after the contract was up.

We recently have had a demo of POCCelerator and Telcor.  I would love for you all to share why you are interested in moving to something other than Telcor.

Thanks!

We currently use Telcor QML but it does not have the capacity to directly connect our Hemocues so we still have a Hemocue server with database to configure these devices.  Also, for our Hemochron Signature Elites, we still need to use Configuration Manager to configure these devices, as Telcor can only manage the operators but not configurations.

We were actually thinking of moving to Cobas IT 1000 to manage all of our devices, as we currently use it for our Inform II glucometers.  We were told by Roche that the 2 devices above would directly connect to IT 1000 with full functionality.

I'm curious as to what is not efficient with IT 1000.

I appreciate any feedback.

We currently use UniPOC and like it; however it seems the customer service is just a little less responsive.

We are close to 20-year customers with Telcor and have all good things to say about them.  Customer service above and beyond.  Top of the line technical troubleshooting.  Very responsive.

We recently evaluated Telcor, Rals, Roche IT1000, and Poccelerator.  We ended up deciding on poccelerator and are just beginning this implementation process.  Poccelerator was very cost effective for our small hospital and physician offices and does everything that it's major competitors can do.

Lacey with the Poccelerator can you have multiple poc systems integrated into the middleware such as Inform II, Hemochron, and such?

Lacey,

Have you had Poccelerator "show you" that it will do what you want it to do?  We were told that they can customize any report, but they could not show me the report(s).  I have been told before that reports can be customizable, but then when it came time to review those reports the information that contained was not provided in a context that was helpful.

I hope that you do not find this to be case.

Good luck!

Jennifer

I was able to get some screen shots of reports that some users have created.  Unfortunately I deleted those screen shots or I would pass them on

We are interfacing the Roche urysis, Affinion, Hemocue, Sofia, and I-stat.  They also have a manual entry side for kit testing without an analyzer that I'm unsure if we will use at this time.
