POC Department
Hello POC community,
I have a few questions regarding your POC department overall: I am trying to figure out how I can approach to get point of care as its own department in my health system, we are a 722 bed facility and point of care is part of the chemistry deparment and there is only one person in the department: we currently run Glucose testing, urinalysis, hemocult, ph, strep A, UHcG, Rapid HIV, Hemochron, ACT and AVOX
1. Is Point of Care its own department or attached to another department?
2. How many staff are in your deparment?
3. How many bed facility is your institution?
4. Roughly what is your yearly budget for the department?
I may have a few follow up questions.
my email is : joseph.rudic@tuhs.temple.edu
