ACT testing

Hi All - I am looking for feedback as to what other facilities are using in their Cath Labs for ACT and pO2 testing.  Currently we have a Hemochron and Oxicom and are looking to get new. Please include any pros and cons.  Thank you!

Hi Susan,

I would look through some old threads for some quick answers - there was a good bit of discussion recently about Accriva's AVOX devices a little while back, as well as ACT on Hemochron vs iSTAT.

We use ACT Plus from Medtronic and Accriva AVOX

Susan - We currently use Hemochron Sig. Elite for our ACT testing in Cath Lab and the Avoxx 1000E for our Co-ox testing.  Both analyzers have been very good for us with very few if any issues with the staff testing on either analyzer.  Recently we looked at other analyzers for the Co-ox and the Cath Lab staff chose to stick with the Avoxx due to the fast TAT for results as well as ease of use.
