POC Lipase
As I have been unable to find any Lipase test method that point of care, can anyone tell me how they are handling lack of this test in off campus/free standing ED labs? Are there any vendors planning on launching Lipase as POC?

We were asked for a POC lipase, but it doesn't exist. They are going to use amylase (on the Piccolo), although not happy about it. Haven't heard of any vendors looking to implement lipase on their platforms, but things change every day!
Oh yes - FED physicians were so unhappy that leadership made decision to add a Vitros 350 and 24/7 hour technical staffing for Lipase and alcohol testing. We should keep pushing vendor partners to add Lipase. We are also using Piccolo and IStat for chemistry testing.

CAP has HCC2 for whole blood glucose, waived. We use that for 1 designated meter and then use WBGQ for our others.
