I have been invited to a meeting in regards to fetal fibronectin.  I'm assuming they are think about doing this testing in the L & D department.  If anyone would have any input of what is out there for doing this type of testing, it would be appreciated.

Charlene, we use the Hologic Rapid FHN, its very easy to use, the one draw back is the length of time it takes to get results, once the sample is placed in the analyzer its 20-30 minutes before you get the results. The analyzer reads and then prints out the results. If the QC has not been done before the testing process, its an additional wait. That's one reason why they are done in the Lab. Same thing with the Amni-sure, we do that in the Lab.

We've been doing FHN in the Lab the past few years; the floors collect and send the tube.  However, usage has been so low lately we are getting rid of it.  Ivy
