Potassium by POC testing prior to dialysis

Hi,
I have a request from a surgery center to add a device to check hemoglobin and the metabolic profile, especially potassium for dialysis patients. Is anyone else doing this and which instrument are you using? The I-Stat is the only one I know of and we do not currently have any I-Stats in our hospital.
Thanks for your help in advance!

We have 2 OP surgery centers that use the iStat cartridge EC4+. This has Na, K, glucose and measured hematocrit with calculated hemoglobin. You can have test selectivity if you only want 1, 2, 3 or 4 or all analytes. Fortunately, this cartridge is waived.
In the result field in EPIC we put a disclaimer on the K that the specimen is whole blood and cannot be evaluated for hemolysis. Also a disclaimer the H & H should not be used for transfusion triggers but that a lab sample sent for confirmation(the wording is shorter in the actual chart)
That's very interesting that you have canned messages. Would you mind sharing the message sent with the K+ and H&H results? Thanks!
Right under the K+ value on the chart
"Comment: Performed on whole blood, unable to evaluate for hemolysis"
Right under the hemoglobin value
"Comment: Calculated value; hemoglobin should be confirmed by direct measurement prior to treatment"
