Our organization is planning to switch to Oxivir TB wipes for cleaning and disinfection in the next few months. Has anyone had any issues with these wipes and POC equipment? We have iSTATs, Hemocues, NOVA StatStrip glucometers and others. Any issues with the break down of the plastic?

Danyel,
We use the Oxivir 'purple top' wipes. Our I-STAT rep told us to wipe with the wipe, let sit for the two minutes, then wipe the screen again with a wipe and dry with a piece of gauze. We haven't had any issues but he said you can have issues with the screen cracking if you don't wipe off the excess fluid.
