Temperature Monitoring For Storage of Collection Devices & Swabs

Greetings!

Does anyone monitor the room temperature of their stored collection devices and swabs (i.e. PAP vials, aerobic swabs)? Examples include a designated storage room or literally a closet. Is it a CLIA requirement?

I do not know if it is a CLIA requirement, but we do for all of our Glucometer supplies, for each unit, I then track the compliance of all it and send the info back to the units. At first it was difficult but over time they have gotten better, every now and then they slip.
