POC glucose billing inpatient
Happy friday everyone,
We have historically not charged for our point of care glucose tests. I believe historically we were nervous about having an order for each specific test run. Now that we are on Epic, with standard order
sets, that risk seems to be low. In the current healthcare economy every dollar of reimbursement is becoming more important. I was asked to reach out to my peers to find out how others handle their glucose testing charges. Are there any lessons learned
I need to consider?
