AVOXimeter 1000E 6 month correlations/comparison

Here we just correlated our Cath lab's Avox 1000 HBO2 with our lab's Avox 4000. Now that the 4000 is down (and out) we are looking at a different analyzer for both locations.

We only have AVOX1000, so our correlation only extended to O2Hb and tHb.  But your assessment of what is directly measured on a 4000 looks accurate with the exception of HHb.  I looked at the manual online and I see tHb, O2Hb, COHb and MeHb as the directly-measured tests, with sO2, O2 content and O2cap as the calculated values.

James we use the AVOXimeter 1000E.  What do you correlate O2Hb and tHb to?  What device?

The ITC AVOXimeter 1000E measures oxygenated hemoglobin [HbO2], deoxyhemoglobin [HHb], methemoglobin [MetHb], and carboxyhemoglobin [COHb] directly.

I correlate the O2Hb to Radiometer 800 series and ABL90 analyzers and the tHb to all of those, plus a Beckman Coulter DxH.  Hasn't ever been much of a problem.

We correlate our Avox 1000e to a Siemens Rapid Point

For Avox Correlation: We correlate Total Hemoglobin and Oxyhemoglobin from the AVOX to the COBAS Main lab gas analyzer and to the Trauma Care's Siemens RapidPoint 500.

For Gases Coox Correlatin: We Correlate Total Hemoglobin, Oxyhemoglobin, Carboxyhemoglobin and Methemoglobin.

I want to do the correlation with a cobas b221. can you share what materials do you use for the comparison of these analytes? and your TEa?

We compare to the Rapid Point 500; just make sure you are comparing the Avox O2Hb to the FO2Hb value and not the sO2 value.
