Lancet expiration for glucose meter users

Hello,

I have 2 questions concerning lancet expiration for glucose meter users:

1. How does your facility track lancet expiration?

2. Is anyone aware of a lancet that has the expiration dated printed on the individual lancet and not just the lot number?

Thank you,

I am not aware of a product with a printed expiration date on the actual lancet.

We are similarly frustrated by this requirement (surprise) and wish that a manufacturer would step up and either enclose their product with a date-stamped wrapper or put it on the actual product along with the lot#.

There is a lancet that has expiration date on them.

Sterile, single use. It has lot number  and expiration date printed on each lancet.

WE use some in one of our location.

I am sure it is more expensive. I did not even bother to ask how much.

WE just package the lancets into Ziploc bags, put in the lot number and expiration.
