I got an electronic copy, but I'm having a problem actually opening it. As our IT security gets tighter, it's more difficult to download things like this. I'm going to try to do it at home, and hope that works. I didn't see a paper copy.
What is it supposed to be used for? Apparently someone at the facility I work ordered it.
It's a 97 page ebook; a resource containing POCT advantages and disadvantages, current and projected technology, pathologist, lab director and POCC roles, selection of appropriate test methods, validation and verification protocols, QC and data management, training and competency. I haven't seen it yet, but it looks to be a basic primer of POCT topics. Also costs $25! But I thought it would be useful for new POC techs as well as those preparing for the Point of Care Professional certification.
