Internal control results in your LIS computers

Hello everyone,
For a CLIA waived test, do you need to have the Internal control documented in the LIS computer? We will be interfacing POCT in the next 5 months. Currently our logs have a place for the control line yes/no along with the result. I'm wondering if it's different in the LIS computers.
Thanks,
