Isolation practice for glucose meter testing

I wonder if others are willing to share what your staff do in regards to isolation testing with glucose meters. I am asking for areas where there is not a dedicated meter for each patient room. We will be implementing Nova meters soon. Our current practice with Inform meters is to only take meter in the room in a small plastic bag for testing. Cases stay outside the room
For those with Nova meters- do you use the Nova isolation bags or another option? Thanks for your help

We have NOVA meters and we bag them when brought into the room.
They are disinfected after use even when they are bagged.
The test strips container is left in the room dedicated to the patient.
Place the meter with the scanner toward the bag opening.
Sometimes the plastic is too thick for the laser to go through, so we scan through the opening.
After scanning all the info, close the bag.
To put the strip to the meter, keep the bag taut where the test strip insert is located.
Poke the bag with the corner of the strip ( corner is sharp-pointed) and then put in the strip.
The strip is exposed to be used for testing.
