Competency auto-recertification for Clinitek through TELCOR

I am interested in setting the clinitek to auto-recertify operators in TELCOR for competency based on the number of QC and patients performed. Is there anyone in the group that has this set up and would be willing to talk to me about the process?
Thank you in advance, Sylvia

Hi Sylvia,
We take care of the programming of requirements for auto-recertification under the Device Type tab, using the Certification Requirements configuration selection. You can then program at what time you want Telcor to begin the lookback process for auto-recertification (based on the Recertification Target and Certification Expires On data), as well as set the minimum levels of run(s) for Record Type: Patient and Record Type: Quality Control. It's a pretty straightforward Configuration Detail screen. I would definitely work with your Telcor Project Manager to get it set up to the specifications that work for you!
Telcor usually wants you to work with them to set up Auto-Cert. Their analysts are fantastic to work with. We recently setup Hemochron, Clinitek Status + and Nova Statstrip.
Sorry ya'll I wasn't clear about what I am asking. I don't need help setting this up in TELCOR. I would just like to talk to someone who has this in place already and talked to them about their process.
We have Telcor QML, but we control the Clinitek operators through RapidComm. My understanding is that the operator certification information does not flow from Telcor to RapidComm. Therefore auto-recertification in Telcor is not helpful.
What am I missing here?
Yvonne what did you set in QML as required for operator recertification?
We are considering 3 patients and 1 level of control.
Our operators are concerned with the control part of the certification because clinitek is set to require QC to be performed at 0700 am. According to the operators even if they run the QC at a different time, for instance at 0400 the clinitek will still require the 0700 QC.
Hi Sylvia,
You can build a buffer into the QC programming in the Clinitek in the same module where you program what time QC lockout occurs. The buffer can be up to 24 hours, but would allow for QC tested within that time period to be counted toward the next QC.
To add to what Mickayla said, the buffer setting was added in firmware v2.62 so you might need to update instrument firmware (which is simple).
